29w0d – She’s here!

Baby A was born at 6:14 am this morning, March 16th, weighing 2 lbs. 15.8 oz.  I’ll update with more details when I can…  It’s quite the story!  No c-section, she decided to enter the world her way, feet first!

I feel great right now, well, aside from EXHAUSTED, since I didn’t sleep at all last night…  Remember how I wanted to pre-order my epidural?  Yeah, that didn’t happen!

Eric and I were able to visit baby A in the NICU earlier this morning…  I really don’t have the words…  She is precious…  She’s doing really awesome, I’ll update on her care later too.

For now, I’ll just leave you with a picture of our sweet daughter…  Name to come, Eric and I are still trying to decide 🙂

  1. oh my goodness! her little hands and little feet. sounds like you have quite the birth story to share! i am glad she is doing really well and i hope this continues for her. welcome to the world baby girl!

  2. Oh my gosh! Huge Congratulations on the safe arrival on your baby girl!!! Hoping for an as short as possible stay in the NICU and that your get to bring home your healthy baby girl soon.

  3. She is beautiful! Congratulations! That is a good weight for her gestation! I hope that she is doing well with her breathing help and getting some milk in her tube soon! So glad you managed to avoid a c-section because then you will not have to worry about recovering from that on top of all the NICU learning! One thing they didn’t tell me till 2 days after they were born – they do not like a light, stroking touch (which was what was natural for me to do). They prefer to have your whole warm hand rest gently on their body without moving. It will probably be a week till you can hold her so its nice to know what kind of touches she enjoys till then! Enjoy getting to know your little girl! Congrats again and can’t wait to hear her name!

  4. She is precious! You have an beautiful little girl. Happy to hear you both are doing well. Send more pictures when you can. Try to get some rest, you have been through a lot the last few days. Sending lots of hugs, and prayers your way!
